See what the Baltimore Examiner recently wrote about our Summer Reading Program!

The Back Court Foundation committed to helping make a difference in each child we meet.

Baltimore's kids need a safe haven-a place where thay can meet with friends, shoot some hoops and escape the dangerous odds they face in some neighborhoods.

Back Court Foundation, Inc. has just what kids need-education, activities and life skills training and opportunities to boost confidence and help prepare them for the future.

Over 800 books and learning materials and $500 have been donated to Tench Tilghman Elementary School #13 to help promote Reading Achievment in their school, and over one thousand school supplies and $500 to inner city youth for their effort in the Entrepreneurship Program.

Our efforts do not stop at the end of the school year, this summer over twenty-thousand bookmark stories will be given out to inner city youth and planned parenthood offices.

Founded by Rodney & Gloria Friend, simply as a repayment for the many hours they both spent in their youth at the local recreation center, Back Court Foundation is well-known on the streets of Baltimore for helping at-risk youth stay off the streets and suit up for success.

JOIN OUR TEAM -- Help us stop the cycle of poverty, crime, unemployment, substance abuse, teen pregnancy, homelessness and school drop-outs that often plague lower income communities. Join Back Court in its efforts to engage, educate and mentor youth -- our leaders of tomorrow!
